USSR Cosmonaut Mail cover with Soyuz-24/Salyut-5 commemorative stamp depicted both cosmonauts Viktor Gorbatko and Yuri Glazkov.Cancelled in Star City in 1974 and autographed by them same year they flown-1974.
Both cosmonauts were back ups for Soyuz-23.Their flight started 7 february 1977.They docked Soyuz-24 with Salyut-5 station on february 8 for a relatively short mission to complete experiments begun by the Soyuz-21 cosmonauts and to transfer military photographs to the Salyut-Almaz re-entry module.Mission held 17 days and 17 hours.
