USSR Cosmonaut Mail cover taken on board Soyuz-23 by commander of mission Vyacheslav Zudov.
Zudov and board engineer Gennadiy Rozhdestvenskiy were to have spent at least two months aboard Salyut-5 station, but Soyuz guidance problems cancelled the docking.The cosmonauts made the Soviet Union`s first `splashdown` on their return.
During return to Earth both autographed covers on board of Soyuz and Zudov hand notared them `15.10.1976 Board Soyuz-23`.
