14 inches wing span one of a kind hand made detailed model of Tupolev`s ANT-44 rconnaissance/bombing flying boat or amphibian. First aircraft test flight was successful and flown by T.Ryabenko and Ilyinskiy 19 April, 1937.Second aircraft (as original model)-ANT-44bis (ANT-44D), built as amphibian with large single-wheel main gear pulled up for water operations by hydraulic jack.Plane had more powerful Russian-built engines.Same pilot Ryabenko flown this plane 7 June, 1938.Later pilot I.Sukhomplin set five amphibian class records.
