# ic084 Visit of cosmonaut Sharipov in June, 2003

Pictures with a friend-cosmonaut Salizhan Sharipov during his visit depict him with myself and my older boy-5 years old Samuel-getting Lessons of Cosmonautics and Aviation from Salizhan.Experienced Mig-21 and L-39 pilot S.Sharipov became a cosmonaut in 1990 and prerpared as commander of a number MIR expeditions.Flown with STS-89 Atlantis USA-Russia team (eight MIR-Shuttle docking) and now preparing to ISS-10 expedition scheduled for next year. During his visit Salizhan kindly shared several interesting pieces from his personal archives-collection.Several of them will be shared with private collectors and museums.Questions are welcome.
