It aims to carry 300 passengers to 9,500km using cryogenic fuel i.e the fuel is stored at freezing(cryo) temperatures.Tupolev Design Bureau has longer SST experience than any other group and spent large sums with CAHI flying modified TU-144LL aircraft in aerodynamic, noise, ecological and systems test.Results underpin design of 2nd-Generation aircraft SST-II.
