60 mm diameter bronze artwork limited edition made by Moscow Mint in 1987 to commemorate 50 years since historic non stop flight from Moscow to North Pole and Portland (Washington).Front side of medal depicts Soviet pilots Chkalov, Baidukov and Belyakov.On reverse pictured the route from Moscow to North America through North Pole and Tupolev`s ANT-25 aircraft flown by these pilots 18-20 july, 1937.
