Five months prior Soyuz TMA-4 flight I`ve strated work on designs of patches to be used in flight and after to be used by crew and myself for presentations.All patches are hand made from special wire and materials to be almost impossible for reproductions and doublications.And they also photographed on board and with Gennady after return from orbit.
Wing shaped patch has initials PGI (Padalka Gennady Ivanovich).Such patch was actually delivered to station by new Soyuz TMA-5 team, when Gennady was on board ISS.Interesting Shield shape patches MKC/ISS-9 with various variants of Russian and American flags.Round patches present Soyuz TMA-4 and also Personal patch :GENNADY PADALKA. PILOT-COSMONAUT OF RUSSIA. SOYUZ TMA.
Quantity of these exclusives flown on board was very limited, what makes these disctinctive pieces unique and rare.
